Customize Vylos

Customize the Vylos appearance on iOS and macOS, choose an icon theme on iOS, and use your preferred language on every supported device.

Appearance

On iOS and macOS, Vylos supports three appearance themes:

ThemeBehavior
SystemFollows your device's current Light or Dark mode setting.
LightAlways uses the light color scheme, regardless of device setting.
DarkAlways uses the dark color scheme, regardless of device setting.

Your selected theme is applied immediately and persists across app launches.

visionOS does not provide a distinct system Light or Dark mode. Vylos therefore uses native adaptive system glass and does not show an Appearance selector on Apple Vision Pro.

App Icon

On iOS, you can choose from 10 app icon themes:

  • Default
  • Midnight
  • Slate
  • Steel
  • Ocean
  • Carbon
  • Arctic
  • Ember
  • Forest
  • Obsidian

The App Icon screen displays a preview image for each theme in a picker grid. Tap a theme to apply it.

The icon change takes effect immediately on your home screen and in the app switcher.

On macOS and visionOS, the App Icon option doesn't appear in Settings. Those platforms always use the Default icon.

Language

Vylos is localized in 19 languages. Choose the language in your device's app-language settings:

On iPhone and iPad, open Settings → Vylos → Language.

On macOS 13 and later, open System Settings → General → Language & Region → Applications.

On macOS 12, open System Preferences → Language & Region and add Vylos under Preferred languages.

The Language pane in Vylos links to the relevant system settings. You may need to quit and reopen Vylos for the change to fully apply.

Text direction follows the language selected by the system. Arabic uses a right-to-left layout, and all other supported languages use left-to-right.
